Oakham

This small but perfectly formed market town is a hive of activity. If you like to shop, you will love the designer boutiques, art galleries, antiques and the range of deli’s stocking local food and drink. If you like history, follow the Oakham Heritage Trail to the Norman castle. Oakham has many cafes, its own award winning brewery and great pubs and eateries.

Uppingham

Renowned for its excellent range of antiques stores, fine art galleries and book shops, Uppingham has a character all of its own.

Stamford

Shopping is a real pleasure in Stamford; narrow alleyways and hidden courtyards are home to speciality shops, fine jewellers and boutiques while the High Street has a great choice of independent retailers. The town has a reputation for good food and offers a lively evening out for all ages.

There is a huge range of attractions in and around Stamford including the Stamford Arts Centre and Stamford Shakespeare open air theatre. The majestic Burghley House, a much admired Elizabethan stately home, is also home to the world famous Burghley Horse Trials which take place every September.
