Walking in Rutland
From your door join the circular trail that leads past the trout farm up the stream. The path leads to a green clearing on the water’s edge facing east and shaded by high trees. Here stands Fort Henry a pleasure-house of the most refined and elegant late 18th Century Gothic. Walk on through Rutland’s largest park. Stop off at the Fox and Hounds in Exton for a well-deserved beverage then amble down the valley back to Cuckoo.
